We are committed to providing a safe and compliant working environment, ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the CDM Regulations 2015, and other relevant UK legislation.

2. Responsibilities
Management Responsibilities
Implement and maintain this Health and Safety Policy.
Conduct regular risk assessments and implement effective control measures.
Ensure compliance with the Work at Height Regulations 2005, COSHH Regulations, and Manual Handling Operations Regulations.
Provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
Investigate and report all accidents, incidents, and near misses to prevent recurrence.
Maintain fire safety procedures, including compliance with Fire Safety Regulations 2022.
Employee Responsibilities
Follow all health and safety procedures and instructions.
Use PPE and equipment correctly.
Report any hazards, unsafe practices, or incidents immediately.
Participate in safety training and toolbox talks.
Contractor Responsibilities
Comply with Nova Mart Group Ltd’s Health and Safety Policy.
Provide risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) before commencing work.
Ensure all workers are trained and competent for their tasks.
3. Risk Management
Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
Implement safe systems of work for high-risk activities, including:
Work at height (scaffolding, ladders, fall protection).
Manual handling (lifting, carrying, and ergonomic safety).
Use of machinery and tools (safe operating procedures).
Hazardous substances (COSHH assessments and controls).
Fire safety (emergency plans, extinguishers, and evacuation procedures).
4. Accident and Emergency Procedures
Maintain first aid facilities and ensure trained first aiders are present on-site.
Establish clear emergency evacuation plans and fire safety measures.
Report and investigate all accidents to improve safety standards.
5. Training and Competence
All employees receive health and safety training as part of their induction.
Site operatives are given task-specific training (e.g. scaffolding, confined space work).
Regular toolbox talks and refresher training sessions are conducted.
6. Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to assess compliance.
Review health and safety performance annually, making improvements where necessary.

7. Enforcement and Compliance
